• Application forms, together with two recent passport-sized photographs (no glasses allowed),
should reach Folkeuniversitetet Bergen within a week of the test date.

• Whilst we try our best to accept late applications, there is no refund
unless cancellation is received more than 2 weeks before the test date.
Please note that incomplete applications cannot be processed. Remember to
sign the form on the last page and include your passport or national identity number.

• Late applications will be considered up to 48 hours before the test, but
please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be places available at
such short notice, and candidates are therefore encouraged to apply at least
2 weeks before the test..

• Please inform us if you would like to order a "Specimen Materials" pack
with CD (kr175 + postage) in order to practise the test and become familiar with the format.

You can expect your results to be sent exactly 13 days after the test.
All tests are currently pen and paper tests.

IELTS Frequently Asked Questions

When will I get my results?
Results will be put in the post 13 days after the test date.

When do I have to pay?
You will receive a bank giro approximately 10 days before the test date and you should pay on
receipt of the giro.

How will I know that I have got a place on the date I have put as my first
choice?
On reception of your registration form, we will send a confirmation of registration.

Can I get my results over the phone, via e-mail or fax?
No, the results are sent via post only. You may, however, arrange to pick them up from our office.

Can I send the results to the universities/institutions I have applied to myself?
No, all results must be sent by the test centre.

How many Test Report Forms are sent to me?
You will receive one Test Report Form.

How many Test Report Forms can be sent to the universities/institutions I have applied to?
You are allowed 5 free of charge if you submit the university/institution
addresses not more than one month after the test date.

If there are no places left on a particular date, can I be put on a waiting list?
Yes, and we will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.

How long is the Test Report Form valid?
2 years from the date you took the test.

If I don’t get the required result, when can I take the test again?
You may take the test as often as you like, but you must take ALL 4 modules (reading, writing, listening, speaking) each time you take the test

Is there a preparation course for the test?
Yes, this is an online course run through FU in Oslo.
